Clackamas County Complete Communities Village Advisory Board
"Villages at Mt. Hood" ???Work Session 3-5pm or 1-3pm Workshop??? >>>> email of 2008-0406 4:47 pm indicates it is 3-5 pm<<<< Tuesday, April 8, 2008 Hoodland Fire Station Meeting Room, US 26 NO AGENDA HAS BEEN MADE AVAILABLE AS OF 2008-0406 >>>> email of 2008-0406 2:21pm provides on (below) <<<<
Time: There seems to be some confusion or deception
for a "Work Session"According to the Sandy Post: 1:00-3:00pm for a "Workshop" According to the obscure, posted agenda: 3-5 pm Documents from Meeting: Draft letter to Commissioners by Dougherty
Minutes from meeting:
Draft TAP authorization letter by Ross Draft "2008 Work Plan" by Dougherty Letter from George "amphitheater" Wilson Haranguing BOD 2008-0417: None available
In the absence of minutes, the following are some interesting quotes: Nancy Dougherty:
"We are 'elected officials'." Rick Applegate: "This is our community and we will determine how this community is run" "..we have a lot of power over it!" (Tourism Alliance) "We need to decide how to spend the money" (room tax) "It is disadvantage for the board to show up at the Strategic Planning meeting." Agenda:
None available as of April 6, 2008
See County's agenda, below, Dougherty agenda was handed out at the meeting => The Chair and Vice Chair have very clearly "engaged in activities detrimental to the Villages of Mt Hood purposes" Agenda received on April 7, 2008 2:21 from Chris Roth - Clackamas County Liaison to Villages and Hamlets => a request has been made as of 2:40 pm to confirm the date and time => as of 4:47 pm the date and time are confirmed, two draft documents that *may* be used in the meeting: Letter to Linda Bell authorizing TAC to manage Room Tax Dollars Note: according to sources, Applegate stonewalled approving this at the 4/1 meeting Draft of 2008 work plan (actually just a form)

4. AdjournLibrary Levy Villages involvement in tourism The discussion about sign codes is postponed until John Borge, Principal Planner for Clackamas County, can attend the meeting - All BOD meetings should be open to the public and must be announced with an agenda, on the web site and in the library at least 7 calendar days prior to the day such meeting is to be held. - There is no requirement that any materials be available prior to the meeting but may be requested under Oregon public meeting laws but I have not had any success with that approach Meeting Notice Checklist
