Saturday, November 17, 2007
Welches Elementary School Multipurpose room
Link to draft minutes
Summary:
     - about 13 people plus BOD/Presenters/significant others etc
=> total appears to be about 26
attended this meeting to "elect" 3 of the 3 director candidates
   - the 3 BOD candidates got
        Robert Baker - 22
        Pat Buckley - 22
        Brigette Romeo - 21
   - the County threw out 2 ballots they didn't like.
(suspicion is that they were the two that voted "NO" on all
the candidates, something you apparently aren't allowed
       to do.)
   - meeting notice checklist: failed misably

Meeting: 9:30 am - noon
check in starts at 9:00
Note: in one place the County Web site
has the meeting starting at 10:00 am/check in 9:30

I have lived in the Mt Hood area for over 20 years. I have been an active board member of the Mt Hood Chamber of Commerce (2004, 2005). Also the Tourism Alliance Committee (TAP) with TDC. I am very interested in the growth of our area since I own a restaurant in Rhododendron and am the cochair of the Mt Hood Culinary Tourism Association. I would be a great asset to the board with my knowledge in Culinary Tourism and local activities.
Describe any community activities or projects you are involved in or would like to be involved in:
There are many areas that we could help with, Public bathrooms, kiosk, speed limits, Beautification projects, fundraisers, partnerships w/ other groups! Thanks, Brigitte Romeo

Now is time for this community to look to the future. Times have changed and what has worked in the past very likely will not work in the future. The village Board needs to continue tp be pro active on ensuring public safety, adequate and safe water, and that the development of our community embraces our historical and cultural heritage.
Describe any community activities or projects you are involved in or would like to be involved in:
The Board of County Commissioners are predominantly from the incorporated western half of the county. This means the need a Villages at Mt Hood Board that works together and can advocate the community’s needs as a strong voice and in a manner that garnishes our ommissioner’s respect.
